Diablo’s 30th-anniversary KOMSCO medals: prices, sold-out notices and the next sale

Korea’s mint is selling Diablo collectibles. The silver medal and bullion contain the same 31.1g of silver but cost ₩333,000 and ₩165,000. Here is what the official notices actually say.

Diablo loot has escaped the screen. Korea’s mint, KOMSCO, has released gold and silver collectibles for the series’ 30th anniversary. The interesting detail is not just the unlikely partnership: a sold-out notice can sit above a promise of another sales round.

This is a guide to the Korean sale, checked on the morning of September 14, 2026, Korea time. It separates total issuance from the first allocation, metal weight from collectible value, and a release date from a delivery date. Stock may change after this check; the linked product pages are the final reference.

Sold out does not tell the whole allocation story

Korean coverage often calls these commemorative coins. KOMSCO lists the metal products as medals, alongside a separate intaglio print. Treating them as one coin set obscures the different prices, materials and delivery terms.

At our check, the silver medal page displayed a sold-out notice. The gold page said the mint shop’s allocation was exhausted and linked to Kakao Gift. That is not evidence that the entire announced issuance has sold. The notices distinguish 200 gold and 800 silver pieces in the initial sale from total issuances of 500 and 2,500.

Remaining quantities are described as planned for a second reservation sale, but the notices we checked do not give a specific second-round date. Keep the official page as your reference before considering a resale listing. A link to another retailer is not a guarantee that retailer still has stock.

The ₩168,000 question: silver weight or the collectible?

An Inven report published on September 11 quoted ₩333,300 from the product information available then. The official silver medal page now shows ₩333,000. The small discrepancy matters because a copied search snippet is not the same thing as the current order price.

The larger difference is between the commemorative silver medal and the bullion medal. Both specify Ag999 silver, 31.1g and a 40mm diameter. Their prices differ by ₩168,000. More silver therefore cannot explain that difference. KOMSCO lists a case and certificate with the commemorative medal, versus a capsule and pouch with bullion; total issuances also differ.

Buying a particular Diablo collectible and buying a quantity of silver are different decisions. Start with the design and presentation you want to keep. Purity and limited issuance do not establish a future resale value.

Three medals, side by side

Both silver products specify 31.1g. Their ₩168,000 price difference cannot be explained by silver quantity alone.

The 25-piece tube and 250-piece monster box are excluded from this single-item comparison. Total issuance is not a live stock count. Prices are in KRW; no overseas shipping or exchange-rate estimate is implied.

Look at the two faces, not just the colour of the metal

The silver and gold product images present different compositions. These are official images of both faces of each medal, not interchangeable colour options or evidence that two medals come in a package. Let the design itself carry some of the purchasing decision.

Their physical sizes differ too: the silver medal is 40mm across and the gold is 32mm. Similar display sizes on a webpage do not make them equal in your hand. We have not assessed their feel or finish in person. The images help identify the product; they are not a substitute for a hands-on review.

For a gift, shipping can matter more than the launch date

The gold and silver notices say dispatch is planned to begin progressively from September 16. Bullion is being sold from an initial manufacturing batch; later supply may take longer depending on production. A September 14 release is not a promise of same-day dispatch.

The intaglio print has a different timetable: reservations from September 14 to 30, with sequential shipping planned from early November. Its notice also says cancellations are not available after the reservation period. Read those conditions before ordering a gift with a fixed deadline.

We link to the print rather than republishing its picture: its usage notice prohibits commercial reuse, unlike the gold and silver pages’ attribution-only notices. Also note that the shop’s shipping information describes delivery within Korea. We have not verified an overseas delivery service, so international readers should not assume this is a worldwide checkout.

Choose the souvenir, not the urgency

The anniversary coincides with Blizzard’s announcements about Diablo’s next era. A collectible is one way to keep that moment on a shelf. But excitement about a future game and wanting this particular object are separate reasons to spend.

I would choose the face I actually want to display, decide whether the packaging matters, then compare the budget and delivery window. A first-round sellout need not reverse that order. With no specific second-round date confirmed in the notices we checked, the official listing is a more useful bookmark than a speculative resale price.
